Fruity on the nose with a nice underlay of toasty oak spice and vanilla and top notes of braised herbs, licorice and violets. This is smooth and supple in the mouth with an initial rush of smoky, toasty and scorched earth inner-mouth perfumes. Perhaps a bit on the tight side, this shows a fairly heavy if balanced load of load tannins in the mouth along with dark pencil lead and toast flavors over some grape, with red currants and fresh purple and blue fruits. The finish is cut short by the tannins. This has some of the hardness and underlying unyielding nature of old school winemaking. I bet this gets better with 2-5 years in the cellar. Needs an aggressive steak for dinner tonight. 90pts
Perfumed on the nose with a strong pine resin note over rich, ripe blueberry fruit. In the mouth this is soft and dry with black cherry fruit that’s wrapped in a clumsy, chunky mouthfeel. The fruit turns a bit muddied and indistinct on the finish. 84pts
45% syrah, 40% carignan, 15% grenache. The nose starts with a strong hit of dirt then manure, but with juicy blackberries underneath. The flavor doesn't have the fruit, but is an interesting combination of olive and fennel seeds. Next to no finish.
Started well, but faded quickly.
This wine is a smooth garnacha.
BBQ potentie. Licht geur, prettige schoenenzweet.
A fresh, crisp grape typical wine with notes of apple and minerals.

Pale yellow straw in color with slight silver hues at the rim. Fresh aromas of baked brie green apple lemon curd and tangerine stand out against a frame of lavender and pulverized sea shells. The mouthwateringly high acidity comes in on the attack and stays throughout. Flavors of key lime pie red apple skin and quince open the mid palate and lead to slightly hot finish. Give this a few years to come together and enjoy the following 4-6 years. Jeff Loo.
A fresh airy and very cool nose carries a whiff of herbal nuance to the red currant game and underbrush aromas that precede minerally and energetic flavors that possess a tangy finish that is well defined though the structural elements are not completely integrated and thus the overall impression is more one of youthful awkwardness than perfect balance. Burghound.
This too is mildly reduced with noticeably cooler and more restrained earth and mineral suffused red berry fruit aromas sliding gracefully into supple and lacy middle weight flavors that offer good complexity though the finish displays some slight astringency that it s hard to discern whether this is from under ripe tannins or an effect of all the gas this is carrying. Benefit of the doubt offered. Burghound.
A very Chassagne nose of pepper warm earth underbrush and somewhat somber dark pinot fruit leads to rich round and delicious middle weight flavors that are notably more serious than the Bourgogne all wrapped in a mouth coating balanced and lingering finish. Fine quality at this level in a slightly more structured package. Burghound.
Full yellow-gold. Exotic aromas of poached pear honeycomb and dried flowers with a musky saline nuance and a suggestion of tropical fruits. Tactile in the mid-palate with a strong flavor of ripe pear. A bit clenched on the back with some disjointed acidity giving the finish a dry edge. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
Dunkles Granatrot. Intensives Aroma von Brombeeren und Cassis mit Noten von Vanille, Schokolade, Caramel und Röstaromen. Im Gaumen fruchtbetont, voll und samtig. Ein wahrhaft geschmeidiger und grosser Wein. DIE Entdeckung aus Mexiko.
Peach honey menthol and stone on the nose. Rich and fairly intense with a slightly candied quality to the honey and peach flavors. This may be a bit tired today owing to the recent malo. Finishes with a whiff of exotic peach schnapps. Substantial wine but hard to assess today. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
Ruby red. Aromas of rich chocolate, coffee, and cassis with notes of mixed dark fruit and raspberry. Extraordinarily rich and mouth-filling, with flavors of cassis, coffee and toasted oak that grace a well-structured body, full of texture with ripe, supple tannins on the lingering finish.
