Primus Red Blend 2010
For my money if you can find a blend containing a drop or two of Syrah and Carmenere with Cab. Sauv. and/or Merlot for less than $20. BUY IT. This was a very good bottle of vino. Thank you, Chile. If only I could afford to visit. 3/5/15...I believe winter will end in two days, but what do I really know about wine or weather?Add winemaker's notes
ParaVi Vineyards is located high in the Sierra Foothills in an area known as "Apple Hill." Our main building was once the original apple stand where local legend Marilyn Thomas first started baking her pies which transformed the area into Apple Hill. ParaVi Vineyards has a state-of-the-art tasting room where you can sample each of our wines while you view a museum-quality collection of wine tools and openers. Tasting Hours 11AM to 5PM Daily

My Rating 89: Very interesting wine. Nose green with many green field aromas. Body full with good tannins and taste of sharp fruit without being annoying

Notes of cassis, cola, cedar, tobacco, lemon and a twinge of eucalyptus comprise the bouquet on this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Carmenandegrave;re and Merlot. It tastes of cassis, blackberry, herb and chocolate; the finish is solid and minty, with a suggestion of cigar tobacco. This rocks hard, but with focus. Drink nowandndash;2015.
The 2009 growing season experienced a cool spring followed by a warm summer. Favorable temperatures provided for good ripening and resulted in intensely concentrated flavors, healthy grapes, and excellent red, ripe fruit flavors with elegant yet powerful
The 2009 Blend is composed of 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Syrah, 25% Carmenere, and 18% Merlot. Aromas of toasty oak, spice box, dried herbs, game, and assorted black fruits lead to a savory, surprisingly easy-going, tasty wine that can be approached now and over the next 5andndash;6 years. It offers excellent value for the money.
