This is one of the best wines for the price that I've ever come across. Bold from the moment the bottle is opened, with complex yet smooth flavors. It goes with almost any food as well. Great value for an outstanding wine.Add winemaker's notes

One of the great surprises I've found dining out.
I agree totally with Handron, it was great from the first taste to the last. Delicate yet bold.

Primum Malbec 2012 - 91 Points, Wine Enthusiast / Concentrated aromas of blackberry, licorice root and Graham cracker are lusty. This feels thick on its edges but somewhat sharp and tartaric in the middle. Flavors of molasses, raisin, cassis and blackberry are bolstered by sharp acidity, leaving a finish that htis fast then falls off.
Primum Malbec 2013 - 94 Points, The Tasting Panel / A stunning, luscious barrel-fermented wine with elegance, depth and power; lovely plum, blackberry and violets enhanced by toasty French oak; rich, polished and complete.
Deep purple, intense wine, with aromas of distinctive personality and varietal typicity, notably blackberries, and the floral scents of violets and vanilla. A sweet start of mouth, followed by an ample and intense feel in the mid palate, with a silky and rounded tannin texture. It stands out for its fruity character and the crispiness of its well-balanced acidity. A long and lingering finish, with the presence of sweet and fresh wooden flavors.Great year round malbec! Malbec Reserve 2009 - 91 points, Wine & Spirits/ Grown at 3,600 feet in Tunuyán, the fresh effect of the altitude is not enough to counteract the warmth of the vintage, which packs this malbec with black fruit flavors and sweet spice. Still, it sustains firm acidity, shaping the flavors and giving the wine exuberant depth. Open it now with a ribeye.
Malbec Reserve 2010 - 90 points, Wine Enthusiast/ Compact, concentrated and clean, with all its components in place. The bouquet is dark with charcoal, but bright with berry fruit aromas. The mouthfeel is comfortable and balanced, with sweet berry flavors offset by mild spice and proper oak. Soft tannins define the finish; a fine Malbec that doesn’t overdo it.
Malbec Reserve 2010 - 88 points, Wine Spectator/ This juicy red offers a floral mix of raspberry, cassis, and blackberry fruit notes, backed by bright acidity and a fine, minerally finish.
