Primitivo 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

The vineyards which produce this charming wine are located in an area known as Gioia del Colle - where Benedictine monks start growing Primitivo vines in 1700. The colour is deep ruby red. On the nose the wine shows a delicate scent of berry fruits. The palate is elegant, intense with soft natural tannins (no oak). The alcohol content is distinct but not overpowering. The wine is an ideal accompaniment of roasts meat and fish, as well as of a rich main pasta dish.

The extra long finish reminded me of bandaids. Only got through 2 sips.
