Primitivo is the same grape as Zinfandel, however the Italians tend to make them lighter and more food-friendly than the Americans. This one is no exception - very bright, with that signature peppery note.
Ok, fine, you got me. Primitivo is the same as Zinfandel. This one, however, is lighter and more balanced than the high-alcohol American cousins. Plus it's downright cheap.
