Light in flavor compared to a BIG American Pino, and is somewhere between a Burgundy Pino Noir and a real Burgundy. Also unusual: a pungently herby, almost hemp-like floral nose. I kept sensing a metallic initial taste, huge floral punch and an earthy aftertaste.

Primarius is an earthy Oregon Pinot Noir that is fruity and very light. Perhaps too light for my taste. Drinkable red wine that would serve well at casual social functions. Great for a quick glass but not much more.

this wine is watery. the mouthfeel is more like a beaujolais...no silk to it. it also feels incredibly acidic.

Burgundian in style, with layers of subtle dried fruit and spice that evolve on the palate. A perfect pairing with simple grilled salmon.
