Pretty aromas of tobacco, berry and cherry follow through to a medium-bodied palate with slightly austere tannins. Medium finish. Better with age. Best after 2003. 18,330 cases made. - Wine Spectator Magazine 87 Points Finesse, elegance, as well as admirable flavors are characteristics of this dark ruby-colored, lighter-styled 1998. Offering abundant quantities of berry fruit, cassis, and spice box aromas and flavors, and an excellent texture, this evolved, delicious Margaux is best consumed during its first decade of life. Readers are advised to take a closer look at this property, which appears to be making better wines. - Robert Parker 87 Points
