Prieuré de Saint Jean de Bébian la Chapelle de Bebian Coteaux du Languedoc Blanc 2010

Member Review by Nicki:

Tasted March 2008: Very good wine. Huge colour with some ripening at the edge, rich legs. Extraordinary bouquet that needs extensive aeration, rich and refined at the same time. In the mouth slightly too sweet but marvelously fruity and ripe and with a lovely mouth feel. Still quite oaky, but not obtrusive. A noble Languedoc wine. Best before 2011.

Tasted August 2008: This bottle was entirely ready: a mature, beautiful wine with a noble exotic character in the bouquet and the taste.

Traditional to the extreme - single-pressed grapes, gravity fed and minimally filtered, aged in almost untoasted barrels, this full-bodied white expresses the rustic nature of southern French wines.
