Pride Mountain Vineyards Viognier Sonoma County 2002

Winemaker's Notes:

Making steady inroads into the lives of Chardonnay drinkers, as well as those who till now haven’t thought any white wine could satisfy their quest for richness, complexity and balance, critics and customers alike are discovering that this wine is a gem. Not prone to giving top scores easily, The Connoisseurs’ Guide accompanied their score on the 2001 Viognier with the comment that it was, “easily the richest and most expressive” of the Viogniers they had tasted. In the glass, aromas of peaches, gardenias and jasmine characterize this 100% varietal Viognier, while these very essences of summer dance delightfully on the palate, and crisp acidity contributes a brightness of character and length to the finish. Barrel aged and fermented, neutral oak was used to showcase the purity of fruit and terroir in our mountain Viognier.

Peach pit, floral and citrus flavors have fine intensity, underscored by a hint of marshmallow and vanilla character, turning slightly bitter... Wine Spectator. A Viognier wine from California in USA. 2002 Pride Mountain Vineyards Viognier 750ml
