Pride Mountain Vineyards Reserve Claret Proprietary Blend 1999

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

Rich complex and exotic with tempting spice and dark fruit aromas and layers of currant black cherry mocha sandalwood and cherry flavors that are sharply focused long and intense on the finish. Relies on Merlot (60 percent) for its grace and elegance with Cabernet (35 percent) giving it backbone. Also has 5 percent Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2009. 200 cases made. JL Wine Spectator.

The charming and unpretentious tasting room offers guests the opportunity to sample the latest vintages while chatting with the gracious and knowledgeable staff. County regulations require that visitors hold a prior appointment. Read less
