Pride Mountain Vineyards Red Bordeaux Blend Napa Valley Reserve Claret 2000

Winemaker's Notes:

The Grande Dame of the Pride wines, this elegant Reserve Claret is like velvet in your mouth. Complimented by the Cabernet Sauvignon’s firmness, structure and rich tones of black fruit, our mountaintop Merlot provides a lush and juicy mid-palate as the Petit Verdot adds elements of wild violets and lengthens the finish with beautiful natural acidity. Spicy aromas of anise and clove dance with the wine’s ripe blackberry and currant character. Intertwined with cedar, chocolate and espresso beans, these flavors harmonize while a remarkable richness coats the palate and lingers in a long and delightful finish.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
