Pride Mountain Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Franc 2004
We offer you an example of what true physiological ripeness means to Cabernet Franc. Red and black berry fruit aromas interplay with a kiss of French oak in the aromas and flavors. Round richness of body coat the entire pallet with ripe berry flavors making a second taste irresistible. The finish lasts for several minutes so you can slow down a little if you must!
It's not easy to find a high quality cab franc. When I do, I hang on. This qualifies as a VERY good one (though maybe not great). Pride Mountain has a reputation for huge, earthy reds, and this one doesn't disappoint. The fruit and tannins balance nicely and the finish is the full, long one that's characteristic of so many of their efforts.
One of the very best Cabernet Francs on the market
