Pride Mountain Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Notes of blackberry, ripe plum, black tea, cassis and dark chocolate create an intriguing aromatic interplay, while the opaque, blue-black color, voluptuous mouthfeel and natural acidity balance the wine's mountain tannins, creating a wine with no sharp edges.

Pure and focused, this understated version succeeds with finesse and detail to its dark berry, red currant, mocha and spicy, loamy earth notes. Ends with chewy tannins. Drink now through 2024.

Bright, medium ruby-red. Aromatic nose combines blueberry, blackberry, tar, espresso and mint. High-toned and intense in the mouth, with the minty blueberry character and harmonious acidity giving the wine an enticing juicy quality. Finishes with firm but fine tannins and the structure to age well. I’d hold this for at least two or three years before pulling the cork.
