Pride Mountain Cabernet Franc(1997)

Ripe blueberry and green tea aromas seem to dance from the glass. An underlying cocoa element unfolds in the rich middle on the palate. 25% Merlot was blended with the Cabernet franc to provide additional layers of texture and to augment the delicious berry flavors. Fine tannins in the finish provide just enough grip.

Medium ruby. Dark, fruit-driven aromas of blackberry, cocoa powder, espresso and shoe polish; real mountain-style franc. Dense and sweet in the middle palate, with bright, harmonious acids contributing to the impression of inner-mouth perfume. Finishes with substantial but rather fine tannins, a pronounced spicy oakiness and excellent persistence.
