Preston Estate Dry Creek Zinfandel 2005
Amazing. Full-bodied and restrained at the same time. A little hot in the aromas at first, then the alcohol (14.3%) blows off leaving plums and berries. Beautiful dark aubergine in color, and silky texture. Flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and roast coffee.Peppery finish. Just fantastic, not as huge as many on the market. Easy to drink. Had with chicken chili and cornbread. Organic grapes.
Spicy red and black fruits. Good, well-made, but not memorable.
