Prager Aria White Port 2008

Member Review by VegasOenophile:

Nose of creme brulee shell. Toasty. Interesting flavors of caramel corn and toasty hazelnut. Nice. Finishes on a kettle corn note. 93 pts. 5/10/13 at winery

Going to the Prager tasting room is a delight in and of itself. Aria is the first white port I have really enjoyed. With caramel and nutty notes layered over a mild acidic backbone, this wine is a perfect finish to a meal.

Save the 05 a little longer. Maybe another year or even 2. ??? There is a lot of Chardonnay taste to it. The hazel nut flavor is there but a little too pronounced. The 04 is much better.

Loved this port. Sweet with a butterscotch finish.

This white port is incredible. It is perfect for fall dessert. Well it is even perfect in the summer. Nothing like I have ever tasted. SOO good with a caramel finish.
