Pousse d'Or Chambolle-Musigny les Amoureuses Premier Cru 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

92-96 points Fine Wine Review: While the Chambolle-Amoureuses may not be quite up to the level of the fabulous 2010, it is outstanding nevertheless with its floral nose and floral, spicy palate, elegance, and intensity. (Issue #139; 2013) 93 points and 'Sweet spot Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): This is notably spicier with a pure, elegant, airy and restrained nose of red currants, blue berries, floral hints and exotic tea scents. There is equally good purity on the energetic and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess a highly seductive and refined mouth feel as the supporting tannins are beautifully well-integrated on the impeccably well-balanced finish. This is classier than the Charmes but not necessary any more complex or more persistent. Drink: 2021+. (Apr 2013)

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
