Vintage: 2005 12/13/2008

This prestige cuvee is considered a Loire Valley legend. Its rich texture and perfect blend of fruit and elegance make this one of France's most sought-after white wines. No oak involved! Pure Sauvignon Blanc which can only be compared in finesse and texture to a world class White Burgundy at twice the price. A very full, pretty nose and a silkiness on the palate that must be experienced to be believed.

Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley with mineral driven chalky character along with notes of pineapple and grapefruits. Dry and refreshing with a lovely floral character on the finish.

The history of the Pouilly Vineyard dates back to the 5th century, when it was a Gallo-Roman estate. In 1937, Pouilly was granted two AOC labels: Pouilly-Sur-Loire, for the chasselas grapes, and Blanc-Fume De Pouilly (also known as Pouilly Fume) for the Sauvignon grape
