I bought this wine for five pounds when it was on offer at my local supermarket.Jean Dumont is a well known negociant from the Loire valley where the Poilly-Fume appellation is from.The wine is 100% sauvignon blanc.I drank my bottle a few days ago with a meal of fish cakes.It is dry without being sharp or sour and there is a restrained kind of fruit there like melons,peach or gooseberries but it lacks that hint of smoke which gives the wine its name and which I have tasted in other examples of the appellation .It was of reasonable quality and good value for money
