The lovely nose opens with a touch of leathery funk, smoldering grapevines and rocky earth. Under lays a core of red currant and wild cherry fruit with a subtle streak of embedded vanilla. Smooth and showing fine integration in the mouth though the tannins remain youthfully prominent. A pure core of seared cherry fruit with just an insinuation of sweetness emerging on the attack is joined by a fine mineral tone across the mid-palate leads into a fine finish. 89pts
