What to Expect

The Gamay grape finds it's home in France's Burgundy region where it is responsible for the red wines of Beaujolais. Producing light to medium bodied wines with modest tannins and good acidity, Gamay is unfairly associated with Beaujolais Nouveau. It is capable of producing wonderful, cherry and raspberry flavored wines with earthy hints of violets and spice.

Editorial Reviews

Rating: 90/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 10/09 Rich and smoky with earthy tannin, this is a gamey Beaujolais buzzing with bright raspberry acidity. The warm, dark berry tones will match roast quail.
