Medium to full bodied with a beautiful garnet color, it has plum and raspberry on the nose with a touch of mint. Lush tannins and gentle spices are well-knit. This would hold up to an herbed grilled lamb nicely.

Deep ruby red. Rich with fruit, the nose is reminiscent of plums and blackberries. Fresh flavors of redcurrant and black cherry supported by sweet, round tannins ending in a long finish with notes of cinnamon and cloves.

Dark in color, this chunky, ripe Malbec opens with blackberry, earth and rubber aromas. That bold, full quality carries onto the palate, which is staunch and bullish, with pepper and berry flavors that finish dry, yet weighty and lush.

Leathery aromas blend well with concentrated black-fruit scents. In the mouth, this value-priced Malbec offers juicy purity and plenty of spunk. Flavors of black fruits, licorice and chocolate maintain a sense of freshness, while the finish offers residual blackberry and cassis flavors.

Ripe, with enough acidity to support the jammy cherry and blackberry fruit. Hints of tobacco and herb mark the finish. Drink now.

Deep ruby red with shades of violet. Rich with fruit, the nose is reminiscent of plums and blackberries. Tannins as soft as velvet set the stage for an enviably round finish. Enjoy with grilled steaks, roasts and pasta in richly-flavored sauces.

A winery to watch is Salentein, the maker of this densely colored wine that features inky blackberry aromas along with hints of spice and tobacco. Lush but firm, with moderate tannins that make themselves felt. A streak of toasty oak creates coffee and pepper on the back palate.
