Portalupi Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2006
Notes on the Portalupi Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2006 : NVWE NOTES: Genteel and pretty, if youthfully firm, the aromas of this elegant Pinot Noir are a mix of cherry, rose petal, roasted grain and smoke. It is a bit more citric on the palate, with red currant, red cherry, red licorice and pomegranate and a bit of rose and roasted grain. The finish is long, firm and pretty, and although this one will certainly improve for two or three years, it should be quite wonderful right now if served with grilled salmon or pepper encrusted tuna. 325 cases produced.PORTALUPI PINOT NOIR RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY 2006
Portalupi wine began many years ago in a small coastal town in Nortberg California where Tim and Jane first met as children. Now, a husband and wife team, they have traversed the gamut of the premium wine business for some nearly 30 years. They started Portalupi in 2002 to make and deliver exquisitely crafted wines worthy of their generations if Italian history in winemaking. Portalupi wine is a celebration of their reunion and a tribute to their rich ancestry.
