A light, pleasant, crisply styled Brut with firm citrusy acidity and lingering lemon, apple, and yeasty bread dough flavors. Well-made in an aperitif style.
The tight scents of minerals, green apple and flavors lend this a Riesling-like freshness. It's lean and aggressively dry, then the finish lasts with a red fruit perfume. A solid Champagne, with the density to match halibut or crab.
A rich wine with bosky red apple-skin flavor, this has density as well as a persistent sweet apple and chalk finish. Acidity prickles the tongue, needing food to balance the freshness.
Aromas of pear, apple, mint, and flower blossom. Juicy, bright and dry, with fairly intense orange creamsicle, lemon and mint flavors. Linear, persistent and shapely; a leanish, fresh, light style of Champagne with modest nuance and good persistence.
Rich and verging on full-bodied, suggesting a high proportion of Pinot Noir. The aromas and flavors are broad, with toast and berry notes allied to a firm backbone of acidity. Ideal for food and aging. Drink now through 2003.
This is in Pommeryrsquo;s relatively delicate style, a finely balanced, elegant Champagne. It has some lively acidity; the balance between this and the white fruits and a touch of maturity works. Great non-vintage.
A ripe, fruity Champagne that lacks complexity. Therersquo;s some yeasty, rising-bread notes, but mainly peachy fruit in this medium-weight wine. Finishes short.
