Pommard Premier Cru les Rugiens. Faiveley 2010

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

A fresh cool and restrained nose of surpassing elegance displays airy red berry fruit in particular raspberry and currant. Interestingly for a Rugiens this is almost delicate on the mid-palate but there is excellent power and plenty of underlying tension to the very firmly structured linear and somewhat strict if wonderfully persistent and impeccably well-balanced finish. I wouldn t buy this unless you expressly intend to cellar it for at least a decade. - Comments: Outstanding Burghound.

Good full, bright red. Subtle, high-pitched aromas of cherry, tobacco, leather and dried rose. Sweet, creamy and deep, with some CO2 adding to the impression of freshness. Wonderfully perfumed, very long wine, finishing with outstanding finesse of... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Pinot Noir wine from Burgundy in France. 2010 Faiveley Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens 750ml
