External Reviews for Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
/ Clean aromas of plum, berries, flowers and fresh mushroom lead to a medium-bodied palate, with a silky texture and a fresh finish of citrus and cedar. This is slightly hollow just now.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2006 - 90 Points, Wine Advocate/ The 2006 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano (Sangiovese) is particularly successful in this vintage. This warm, expansive red offers up ripe cherries, herbs and tobacco intermingled with scents of sweet toasted oak. The wine's balance and sense of harmony are impeccable.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2005 - 92 Points, Wine Review Online/ ...something really special from Tuscany...Ultra-classy and extremely well balanced and integrated; the wine shows fruit that is at once concentrated and intense in flavor, yet restrained in ripeness. The fruit is edged with a palpable minerality, lots of very fine-grained tannin, and lip-smacking acidity that is perfectly integrated with the fruit. Although this is ready to enjoy now with fairly robust foods, it will develop additional aromatic complexity and continue to soften for another five years at a minimum.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2005 - Food & Wine/ Spicy, berry-rich 2005 Poliziano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese pairs particularly well with holiday roasts.
/ Toasted wood, characteristic Sangiovese cherry notes, distinctive sharp minerality, all nicely balanced; this is a great example of its breed.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2007 - 91 points, Wine Enthusiast/ Poliziano consistently delivers smooth and rich expressions that show the best of Montepulciano. Aromas include black berry, cherry, smoked spice, leather and moist tobacco. Pair this wine with stewed veal.
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G. 2006 - Tre Bicchieri, Gambero Rosso Guide to Italian Wines/ ... The Nobile di Montepulciano Asinone remains the estate's undisputed standard-bearer and the '06 confidently picked up its customary Three Glasses trophy.
