Poggio Verde. Principe Pallavicini 2011
External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:
Light, bright straw-yellow. Musky aromas of lemon pith, yellow apple, pear and white flowers, plus a touch of herbs. Juicy, fresh and expressive, with bright pit fruit and orange flavors and a sweet herbal note. Relatively complex and intriguing for a Frascati; its herbal element will work well with difficult vegetables such as artichoke and asparagus. Offers very good cut and finishes with straightforward fresh citrus and floral notes. This wine used to contain a little chardonnay in the old days, but it appears not to now. Always one of the more seriously made, dependable Frascatis.
