Poggio Al Tesoro Solosole 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

This exuberant white wine is named Solosole ("just sunshine" in Italian) because only the sun is allowed to influence the grapes that make this wine. Made entirely from Vermentino, the grapes are harvested when they are perfectly ripe, as they turn an intense golden color, and, indeed, look like miniature suns. There is no blending with other varieties, nor is there any wood aging to interfere with the exotic flavors of this grape; the goal in making this wine is to deliver a pure expression of this sun-kissed region. Pair this wine with grilled chicken, gremolata sauces, veal scallopini, and taramosalata.
