Poderi Moretti Roero Arneis Occhetti 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

It comes from a vineyard situated on the southwestern slope in Locality Occhetti. It is obtained from the winemaking in white of the Arneis grapes that exactly find in the hill sands of Roero their election area. The Arneis vine-strain has always been cultivated on these hills, but in times past was destined to the local market. At the present time it is wine-made dry and it has succeeded in earning general praise out of its origin area; its uniqueness is largely recognized and its tasting refinement is greatly appreciated. The grapes are gathered at the end of September. Vine-strain: Arneis. Colour: deep yellow straw-colour, with lightly amber-coloured reflections. Perfume: delicate, fresh and herbaceous, rich in fruity scents. Flavour: “round” and harmonic with a delicately bitterish rear-taste. Alcoholic strength: ±13 degrees. Ageing period: the wine after a natural fermentation, without skins to low temperature, it is cold stabilized. It’s ready for sale, starting from the month of March following the vintage. It is well preserved for 3 years. Gastronomic coupling: excellent aperitif; it is a proper accompaniment to the “hors-d’oeuvre” and the delicate “first dishes”, fish and white meats. It can be served at 7-8°C in summer, at 12-15°C in winter
