Poderi Alasia Barbera d'Asti Rive 2009
Corona of fine bubbles over a strawberry-coloured rosé wine. Typical Brachetto strawberry and grape aromas. Palate-tingling spritz leading on to light, grapey, almost peppered-strawberry flavours. Sweetness, fizz and zesty acidity nicely balanced to give a perfect, and unusual, dessert wine.
light, sweet, inexpensive.
if you like sweet.....this is it....I travel to Jenkintown to buy this wine and when I do I buy at least four bottles because it sells out so quickly......
Found this treasure completely by accident looking for a good cheap wine. It is sweet, but not overly so and just enough bubbles to be fun. I have since purchased several bottles and will buy more.
Delicious sweet red wine that is a bit bubbly...yum!
