Pleno Tempranillo Navarra 2016

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought this bottle of wine from the website www.houseoftownend.com for £7.Navarra is a Spanish wine DO originally created in 1933,although there has been viticulture here since at least the Romans, for red, white and rose wines from the Navarra region in north-west Spain.Pleno is a brand name used by Bodegas Agronavarra a large company operarting in this area and my bottle is 100% tempranillo grape. I started my bottle last night with my supper of chicken kiev. It is a wine bursting with fresh fruit [think blackcurant and cherry] with a hint of spice on the finish and soft, smooth but well structured tannins. In short this is a lovely wine that would go with many foods and offers good value for money
