This wine was pretty tight before decanting, with an overwhelming nose of Black Licorice and petrol. After opening up, the nose revealed hints of vanilla, cherry, and cinnamon. The mouthfeel was very smooth, but slightly thin. The tannins were fairly minimal, mostly on the midpalate. While the nose was excellent, it was hard to pick out any fruit on the palate...again, slight cinnamon and cherry. The finish was very nice, with lingering spice and vanilla. I would give this an 86 or 87/100. Good buy for the price and varietals.
