FOR $14 A BOTTLE, IT CAN'T BE BEAT. I HAVE CASE LOTS IN MY CELLAR OF PIPER HEIDSICK, DOM PERIGNON, VIVE CLICOUT, TATTINGER AND RODERER CHAMPAGNE. YHEY ARE ALL GREAT WINES, BUT FOR DAY TO DAY DRINKING OF SPARKLING WINE, I PREFER PIPER SONOMA BRUT. DON,T GET ME WRONG, BUT MY OTHER WINES ARE GREAT, BUT SOME OF THEM JUST STAND UP TO PIPERE SONOMA. A little scoury around the edges and sweet, but otherwise a fine bubbly. Dry and tart, it shows rich Meyer lemon, lime, strawberry, vanilla and yeast flavors.
Good price for a bubbly of this quality. Shows a nice spectrum of citrus, yeast and strawberry flavors that finish dry, crisp and clean, if a little rough. Drink now.
A delicate, understated style that features ripe, spicy pear, apple, vanilla and black cherry flavors, and finishes with a smooth, elegant aftertaste.
Medium body, acid and fruit. Perfume, limes, toast. Toasty notes pervade a tangy fruit palate with a mild candied impression.
