Pintia 2013

External Review:

The aromatics on the 2009 Pintia are very intense with lifted wild strawberry raspberry mulberry fruit interlaced by dried herbs and just a mention of cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that are in synch with the tobacco-tinged red fruit. This has very good structure and symmetry while the finish displays fine tension and a long spicy aftertaste. This has very good potential. - Neal Martin Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.

Fab wine - sniffs of cherry and faint spices, tastes great: full bodied, complex (and a little rough still) - but great with a steak, deep purple in colour, and the cherry comes through in the taste.

I unfortunately no professional reviewer. I love this wine. It has a nice colour and texture; smooth. It has a lovely flavour, sweet but not overpoweringly sweet like an iced wine can be. It's able to complement desserts without drowning them out, or enjoyed after dinner on its own.

Opaque ruby. Sexy oak-spiced aromas of cassis cherry-cola and incense with a peppery topnote. Offers deeply pitched dark berry compote flavors and brighter notes of allspice and star anise with a vanilla undertone. Livelier on a finish that leaves suggestions of candied flowers and mocha. Quite suave and approachable already but this one will be better in a few more years. Stephen Tanzers IWC.

The 2008 Pintia has a fragrant bouquet with scents of dark plum mulberry and fresh cherry the new oak neatly folded into the fruit profile. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy silky smooth entry. The tannins here are very fine with dark cherries a touch of sloe and spices that become more pronounced toward the focused finish. This is perhaps the most feminine 2008 so far

Dichter, facettenreicher Abgang. In der Farbe ein tiefes, dichtes Granatrot.

The 2007 Pintia has a deep garnet core. The bouquet is powerful almost as intense as the 2004 but it exhibits greater delineation and perhaps even more complexity. There are gorgeous notes of dark cherries cassis and touches of dried violets. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded mouthfeel
