Pinot Noir Flowers Vineyard & Winery 2009
Fresh fruit aromas of cherry, plum, and raspberry are followed by hints of sandalwood, mineral, and leather. This wine offers crisp acidity upon entry unfolding with flavors of plum, raspberry and spice. Tannins are supple creating a long, soft finish. Enjoy now or cellar up to 3 years.
Always a solid choice. This vintage is very fruit-forward and toasty, but there is still a great mineral backbone, with spice and earth to round it out. Smells a bit like pinecones, not a complaint!

The main things that stand out about the Flowers winery is the delicacy and acidity in their wines. This Pinot exhibits fresh red raspberries on the nose, while earth and red fruit fill the palate. Delicious!
Tasting Notes - Bright ruby color with violet hues on the rim. Blackberry and briar patch come forward in the initial aromas and evolve into high-toned cherry and bergamot orange. Flavors of dried black cherries and savory herbs complement the bright acidity and supple tannins which frame a lingering and silky finish.
