Pinot Noir Churton Marlborough Vin Rouge Vin Tranquille Nouvelle-Zélande South Island Churton 2008

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

This is packed with sweet fruit on the nose and rich notes of milk chocolate. On the palate this shows lots of nutty, chocolate oak and smoky tones that frame the very sweet fruit. This feels very slick and I am surprised to find out it's a biodynamic wine. The finish has nice cinnammony spice and a deep, yet sweet core of underbrush. A wine worth trying again, but one that is more than a bit surprising. 87pts
