Accolades include Decanter Magazine´s best new world white wine for two years in a row, as well as over 90 points in Wine Spectator and Robert Parker. The winery is located in the Leyda Valley, only 9 miles away from the Pacific Ocean. The Garcés Silva family has long been involved in agriculture, livestock and wine-growing, as well as the beverage, financial, and real-estate industries. The winery that bears the family name was founded by José Antonio Garcés Silva, a business man who acquired the property in the Leyda Valley - San Antonio area, thus becoming one of the pioneers in the area’s vitivinicultural development . What a Fine Pinot. While definitely not being a common varietal in this region, This Chilean gem is worth checking out. Dark ruby in colour, Huge fruity bouquet of violets and raspberries. Lean but has a sweet, lively and fruity rhubarb palette. Moderate-lengthy finish. Beautiful with Duck.

Parmesan.Weingut: Vina Garces SilvaLand: ChileRegion: San Antonio-Leyda ValleyRebsorte: 100% Pinot NoirAlkoholgehalt: 14,5 Vol. %Säuregehalt: 5,0 g/lRestsüße: trockenInhalt: 0,75 lEmpfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16 - 18°CFassreife: in Barriques gereift (12 Monate)Lagerfähigkeit: 5 - 7 Jahre ab JahrgangAuszeichnungen des Amayna Pinot Noir 2007:91 Parker Punkte90 points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, April 2009 Rotwein > Chile > San Antonio-Leyda Valley

The Garcés Silva Family is a traditional family in the agricultural trade for more than three generations, led by its founder Mr. José Antonio Garcés. This project is a meeting point for the whole family whose objective is to share with the consumer the quality of the premium wines. They are the outcome of the terroir, of a prestigious oenologist team and top generation technology. The influence of the sea and soil combined with slow ripening make for a deep ruby-red wine with a touch of violet and great aromatic complexity. The nose evokes ripe red and black fruits with a soft, elegant note of vanilla and spice from the well-integrated oak. Soft, round, mouth-filling tannins deliver a clean, elegant and persistent finish full of personality.

Pinot Noir in Chile has come a long way since it was first planted there, and we were extremely impressed with the Amayna bottling. Taste this wine blind and there can be no doubt that this is pure, delicious Pinot Noir (albeit a bit heftier in style than most). It's full of wild raspberries, dark cherries, and spice.

The 2005 Pinot Noir is dark ruby-colored. It has a lovely nose of raspberry, strawberry, rhubarb and violets. The sweet fruit has attractive spice notes as well as moderate depth and elegance. It is reminiscent of a premier cru Savigny-Les-Beaune from a good vintage. Drink it over the next 3-5 years. ** Only 3 in Stock **
