Pinot Gris Réserve Particulière Clos des Capucins Domaine Weinbach 2005
42 grams of residual sugar. Baked apple on the nose with white peach and nectarine on the palate – a cobbler, crumb cake. Spicy and full bodied and very well-balanced with sweet and sour flavors and, of course, roses all over brown sugar and ginger with a bit of petrol on the finish.
A dry Riesling - rich with a nice blend of petrol, smoke and minerality. Some citrus on the nose with star fruits. Very nice. Served with lobster medallion, sweet breads and green asparagus.
One of the best wines I've ever tasted. Delicate and sweet in all the right places, with floral hints.
Four and a half glasses

A serious Gewürztraminer, this evokes toasted bri- oche, cinnamon, vanilla and lychee flavors. Almost dry, this is well-balanced and creamy, with mineral and white pepper accents emerging at the end. This elegant white shows great definition thanks to its laserlike acidity, which is balanced by honeyed notes of apple blossom, red grapefruit and apricot, with a touch of lime.
