Pinecroft Vineyards Chardonnay 2004
I completely agree with Luke. I generally like oaky chards but this was really nice crisp and smooth and at $3.99 a bottle you can't beat it. It compares well with more expensive chards. Available at Food Lion in the South.Add winemaker's notes
Pinecroft Vineyards may be an alternate label (name) for the wines of Oak Creek Winery, in Ripon CA. Besides their cabernets matching each other almost perfectly, the labels (back), cork and foils match too.

Pinecroft Chardonnay has to be one of the best valued wines I've come across in a long time. This Chardonnay is surprisingly well balanced and has a long, delicate, buttery finish. I'm a pretty big Chardonnay drinker and I tend to prefer more oak in my Chardonnays, so my one negative is that I personally could have used more oak. However, knowing that oaky Chards aren't the trend right now I can look past it. Bottom line: I would EASILY put the Pinecroft Chardonnay and it's $3.99 price point up against many of its peers at 4-5 times the price. Check it out: At the price point it's hard to go wrong.
