Pine Ridge Fortis 2005
The 2005 Epitome Cabernet displays a deep hue and opens with fruity aromas of blackberry, cherry and cassis with hints of smoky French oak, tobacco leaf and coffee, adding complexity. Rounded, chewy tannins provide structure to a palate loaded with sweet blackberry, cherry, cedar and vanilla notes that deepen into rich mocha and dark chocolate flavors over the lengthy finish. You may enjoy this wine now or cellar for up to 15 years.
Unbelievable, fruit forward incredible dense finish. I wish I could buy another bottle!!
Very good cab. Current in the nose with a hint of mocha. Palate has mocha, chocolate and spice.
The more I love over my notes the more this wine stands out. There was a little bit of earthy funk on the nose and tobacco. This wine definitely expresses location more than other Napa Cabs. Expensive but a good wine.
Only available in resturants. Lots ot fruit up front followed by firm tannins and a long finish. Spicier wine with hints of cocoa, currant and cedar.
Almost a musty smell followed by mellower light fruit notes. Tannins are well rounded with a very long finish. Lots and lots of structure. Needs to be layed down for a few years to mellow the finish.
Beautiful deep purple. Restrained fruit with very nice tannins and a ridiculously long finish. Maybe a bit hot on the way down but much more elegant than the other pine ridge wines.
Silky chocolate dominates, long subtle tannins make you anxious for your next sip. Outstanding Cab, thank you Cinderella Wine for featuring this one, wish I had stocked up.

This wine is powerful yet supple, with an intricate nose of baked cherry, dried currants and pomegranate fruit accented with hints of oolong tea, toffee and fragrant oak. The palate has a creamy texture that balances the chewy tannins and emphasizes the concentrated fruit flavors. Notes of dark chocolate, creamy coffee and light tobacco are drawn own over the long finish. The effort of double decanting will be well repaid by the depth of the aerated flavors
