Black cherry flavors dominate the medium-bodied, gently structured palate, with subtle mushroomy flavors, sweet herbs and asparagus. It's ripe, like many wines from the dry, hot 2005 vintage, but not overly so.

This vintage is a classic representation of what Cabernet Franc grapes have to offer. Fruity, almost jammy upfront with hints of plum and raspberry and a soft herbaceousness. Well-rounded and slightly spicy on the finish, this is one of Long Islands signature grape varietals. A classic pairing with beef, duck, and robust seafood.
