The bone dry, elegant 2005 Dry Riesling exhibits notes of dried pit fruits, grapefruit, and earth. Fresh, light to medium-bodied, and austerely dry, it should drink well for 1-2 years.
Light gold. Pear, nectarine and apple aromas complicated by stone, petrol and flowers; very riesling. Round and gentle, with ripe orchard fruit flavors given shape and precision by dry mineral tones. A juicy, fresh riesling that offers a nice mix of ripe and tangy fruits and finishes on a bright note of lime zest.
Winemaker's Notes:
Neil and Andrew Pike have again produced a stunning zesty dry Riesling. On the nose there are racy citrus notes with hints of minerals and talc. Take a sip and the intense yet elegant citrus flavors dance on your tongue. Extraordinary length on the finish no doubt assisted by optimum acidity and lovely slatey mineral notes. Drink now or let this evolve over the next 5 to 8 years into a stunner.
