External Reviews for Pierre Sparr Pinot Gris Reserve
A textbook Gewürztraminer, displaying the rose, litchi and grapefruit peel flavors characteristic of the grape. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, its enjoyable on its own. Drink now.
This wine's flavors of rose petal, canned litchi and grapefruit are classic for the variety. It finishes with rich depth and pleasing length.
Deep flavors of peach jam and orange marmalade are intense but not heavy, supported by brisk acidity that carries the flavors through a long and aromatic finish.
Although this wine is missing the seductive nose of many Gewuuml;rztraminers, it is impressive in the mouth with a rich texture and intense notes of rose water and cloves. Slight residual sugar and soft acidity make it a good partner for seafood in a fruit-based preparation.
