Pierre Morey Monthélie 2006
The total area of the domaine is 11 hectares, distributed in different parcels located in the districts of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, and, of course Meursault. All the vineyards were cultivated following organic agricultural practices from 1992 to 1997, at the end of this period the domaine became 100% biodynamic.

Clean and bracing with a wonderful slinky quality built apon the acid. There is good fruit here as well with a touch of citrussy tropicallity but it is temperred by the mineral flush on the finish. 88pts
Second look - a clean and refreshing white with a hint of stone fruits on the nose, oily tropical fruit palate, and good citrus on the finish. Versatile.
Floral nose and quite a pleasant acidity. Lemon and herb, but past that I'm so new to Aligote I'm not sure how to classify the wine.
Citrus, mostly in lemons, flowery, fuji apple, light but expressive body. Really unobjectionable and powerful at the same time. Would pair with fruits or mild desserts.
Light and delicate with some complexity on the finish. A little dainty for my tastes but I appreciate the quality.
Crisp and refreshing - this aligote has a very lightly perfumed nose, and in the mouth offers delicate peaches and melon flavors.
Fruity and floral nose. Light citrus, makes this chilled wine nice a refreshing.

The village of Monthélie produces mostly Pinot Noir and is located in the Côte de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy. Wines from Monthélie are wines to drink younger. This will be best enjoyed in the next years to come.
