THE bargain of this tasting, especially at the special reduced price of £15.50 at H & H Bancroft for Easter, down from an already relatively fair £17.95 (although the price at the cellar door was just 15 euros for the cuvée based on 2000 that preceded this). This is very fine wine - pretty much all 2002. Lovely cool, refreshing, confident, bone dry classic Chardonnay nose with all the charm and breadth on the palate contributed by the fruit rather than added dosage. Great stuff.
