The total area of the domaine is 11 hectares, distributed in different parcels located in the districts of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, and, of course Meursault. All the vineyards were cultivated following organic agricultural practices from 1992 to 1997, at the end of this period the domaine became 100% biodynamic.
I bought a 1/2 case of this wine for the long haul, but I could not resist checking it out to see how it is. I decanted for 2-3 hours before consumption. This wine is jam packed with great fruit and the structure to develop over the next 10 years. Yet this wine is refined and able to be enjoyed today.

A Syrah wine from Rhone in France. 2004 Pierre Gaillard Cote Rotie 750ml
Texturally expansive with full body and ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit intermixed with notions of new oak and licorice, the 2004 Cote Rotie Rose Pourpre (from Cote Rozier) is a deep, rich, impressive effort. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Syrah wine from Rhone in France. 2004 Pierre Gaillard Cote Rotie Rose Pourpre 750ml
