Candied vanilla greets the nose and this is followed by gentle, pleasant and clean lemon-peel citrus on the palate. Though youthful and thoroughly enjoyable now, this is a wine with some character easily capable of another 3 or 4 years in the bottle. This is typical Pieropan quality well worth the additional few dollars for many dollars more enjoyment.

Pieropan is a benchmark for Soave. The real deal. A lemon and slice apple character to this mineraly white with hints of white pepper. Medium body, with lots of subtle fruit and tangy acidity. James Suckling. A Proprietary Blend wine from Veneto in Italy. 2009 Pieropan Soave Classico 375ml
good depth of fruit on the palate, nicely balanced by a zingy acidity that enhances its long length;
Notes: The wine remains in glass-lined cement tanks on the fine lees for a period which varies according to the vintage. In the spring following the harvest the wine is bottled and then released after at least a further month in bottle.
