Philo Ridge Mendocino Zinfandel(2005)
Zinfandel is the bad boy of red wines. As a teenager Zinfandel got into trouble with the authorities but eventually pulled itself up by it's bootstraps, gaining respect in its old age. Our Zin started out a little edgy. With over 16 months in the barrel its edginess is still there but refined with blackberry flavors, supporting solid tannins. Sultry cedar and spice accents prove it to still be a bad boy.
