Phelps Creek Pinot Noir Cuvee Alexandrine Columbia Gorge 2013

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

This shows a touch of sulfur on the nose but has plenty of bubblegum fruitiness too. Nicely fresh in the mouth, medium bodied for a rose with a touch of sugar adding a round, slightly sweet edge to the bowl of cherries fruit on the mid-palate that ends on a nice, dry, mineral tone. 87pts

4th generation vigneron Alexandrine Roy leaves her Gevry-Chambertain estate to join the crew of Oregon's Phelps Creek. Crafted with her classic Burgundian techniques, the wine expresses Columbia Gorge fruit laced with an earthy tobacco tone signature of the estate. Elegant, rich and layered with complexity.
