User Reviews for Pf Bodegas Vinedas Ponce

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2006 La Casilla was sourced from Bobal vines ranging in age from 32-55 years and aged for 11 months in French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it offers up a fruity, spicy, cedar and mineral-scented nose. This is followed by a big mouthful of ripe red and black fruits, light tannin, and excellent depth and concentration. This tasty wine can be enjoyed now and over the next 10 years. Bodegas y Vinedos Ponce is a biodynamically farmed estate planted with old-vine Bobal, an interesting, indigenous grape variety. The alcoholic fermentation is done by carbonic maceration after which the wines go into French oak for varying amounts of time before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.... 90" WA 02/08
